The newest Pokemon game is coming out November 18, 2022. What do you think of it so far? Which version and starter are you planning on getting?

I pre-ordered Scarlet.

I've yet to buy a switch and tbh this feels overwhelming. I just want to toddle along and catch things.

I'm leaning towards Violet; I usually go for the "cooler" colors, as opposed to the "warmer" ones. Plus I like the legendary design better.

I usually decide which starter I want based on what the final evolution is like, including design and typing, since the final form is what I'll have for most of my gameplay. Won't know that for a bit yet.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about the "open world" approach; but then, I've been slightly grumpy ever since we left two dimensions. I miss not getting dizzy while playing!

That said, as a professional baker, I will definitely be looking for excuses to get Fidough on my team.

I probably won't get the game for a while, since I have a bunch of games I'm still working through currently. Whenever I do end of getting it, I'll probably get Violet since I like Sci-Fi themed stuff more! I'll probably end up choosing the water starter as per usual for me.
I'm hesitantly hopeful about having the gyms be available in any order, since its a bit muddy on how good the level scaling will be (or if there even will be level scaling!)
