Skipping towns... oops.

Last time I played SoulSilver I used a walkthrough. This time I can't find the one I used, so I decided to just play along.

I get to Mahogany Town. Kick some arse in the gym... then can't leave the town. I back and forth for a while, looking around... and then I realise I've managed to skip two towns/gyms. *facepalm*

Has anyone else managed to do this kind of thing? Now I need to backtrack to Ecruteak and work out what I'm doing from there.

I've beaten Jasmine before challenging Chuck. For some reason, it's something I tend to do through a lot of my run-throughs. I just... forget about the order for some reason :X

IIRC the player's guide I have (which I can't presently locate) says something along the lines of, "You can go to the Mahogany Gym first, if you want an extra challenge," which makes me think you'll probably find Jasmine and Chuck easier than Pryce, but that's it, really.

Well, your pokemon will get more experience points from it (obviously), and depending on the badge you get, you'll have the ability to use an HM but you won't have said thing. So your movement will be limited unless you find it, but that's about it. Or at least that I can think of off the top of my head.
