Any suggestions?

I just started up my White 2 game and I'm feeling kind of underwhelmed by the pokemon choices early in the game. So, I figured I'd have you guys suggest some pokemon that might be pretty amazing that I've never really used before.

Some info on what I have right now:
Snivy for a starter.

As for the rest of the team, I've got a Riolu, Sunkern, Sewaddle, Psyduck, Purrloin, Azurill and Pidove. I'm not sure which of these I should be grinding and which are best left to the PC box. Are there any pokes on the upcoming routes (Route 20 and onward) that I should definitely grab? Which poke and which route?

Thanks in advance!

Sunkern is really not great except in HG/SS in the Pokethelon. Purrloin is not that great at low levels, but not awful.

Azurill with Huge Power is pretty nice; I ended up using Psyduck because all the Azurills I caught had Thick Fat. (I don't regret the choice in the least, though!) Pidove with Big Pecks is also really nice, and Super Luck isn't bad, either. (Rivalry is meh, but Rivalry's its Dream World ability.)

Riolu's good once it becomes Lucario. (I was going to use one in my playthrough of Black 2, and only didn't because I had other things I wanted.) Sewaddle is apparently amazing once it evolves, too, but it seemed redundant to me with Snivy (if I'd picked one of the other two I might have tried Sewaddle).

Route 20's shaking grass has Dunsparce; I like my Dunsparce (with Serene Grace) but apparently they're not considered very good. I think they're worth a try, anyway!
Virbank Complex will have Magnemite, which might come in handy against that gym. It'll also have Elekid, since you have White 2. The inner part of the complex will have Growlithe, which are pretty good (I had Black 2 so I went with the Magby I already had, but Magby aren't wild in WHite 2). The inner part will also have Koffing, which again might be useful against the Virbank Gym.

The Castelia City sewers will have Zubat, and Zubat becomes Crobat but is awesome even before that point. (At least my Zubat happily wrecked everything even before it became a Golbat and then a Crobat!) From the sewers you can get to the park in Castelia City, where you'll be able to find wild Eevee. (And also Petilil, and in shaking grass Lilligant, but while both are pretty amazing, you've got Snivy.)

Dunsparce are amazing, just throwing in my two cents. At least, the one I had in SoulSilver was pretty amazing, and it didn't even have Serene Grace.

Also, I wound up choosing Psyduck over Azurill too, even though Azurill was doing much better at first, and I don't regret it at all. I've never trained a Golduck before but she's gotten me out of some tight situations in White 2.

I ended up swapping my Psyduck out for a Dream World Remoraid, but before that I was really enjoying it - I hadn't trained one up before either. If weather were a bigger issue in-game I'd use it more, since the one I caught had Cloud Nine.

There are wild Eevee in Castelia City if that helps at all?

My only advice is that you might want to use and evolve the Riolu for Virbank Gym.
