I've never been more excited for this year until now.
I love Hoenn so much I'm glad it's coming back. Only problem now is which version to get... too bad they didn't just remake Emerald then that problem would be solved.
Well, they didn't remake Yellow (or Blue!) or Crystal, so that's not a surprise. (Besides, they had X2 and Y2 - I don't see them turning down the opportunity to get people to buy two games rather than just one!)
The big part that made Yellow cool, Pikachu following behind you, was added into HG/SS. And the extra arch around Suicune and Eugene was a part of HG/SS as well, which was a big part of Crystal the first time around. So, while they did not have their own stand alone remake, the elements that made Yellow and Crystal special did go into the game. I expect a simialr with OR/AS, parts of Emerald will be in them
