I honestly initially was disgusted with the realistic CG designs but as time goes on they're really starting to grow on me. I might actually go see this movie.

I remember the first time I saw a picture from the movie I was like, "What is this garbage?" but as I saw more trailers I got more and more excited. I saw the movie and I really honestly thought it was really delightful (late reply, maybe you've already seen it, just my two cents!!)

(I don't mind the lateness!) I saw a clip of Pikachu dancing and all my negative feels melted away before my eyes. People have been praising the Detective Pikachu movie left and right. I haven't yet but I really want to see it now!
